Five years experience teaching ESL in Shandong Province, China: Giraffe English, Smart Vision International Kindergarten, Golden Kids International Kindergarten and Wise English working at Beihai Bilingual School. He has instructed students from preschool to age 12 using a variety of techniques including Montessori and Total Physical Response (TPR) in classrooms and as a tutor.
African Experience
As a Teacher at Kwa Muema Secondary School in Mulundi Village, Kitui, Kenya, James taught business, physics and English. Also assisted teachers at both primary and secondary school to learn computer skills.
Board member and project supervisor for Books and Bricks Organization, Seattle, Washington, USA, while in Kenya James acted as a liaison between the board members in Seattle and the schools in Kenya. He managed several projects related to starting a new library, procuring educational texts and materials and a famine relief project.

Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Seattle University, major in marketing, minor in music. Highlight: Japanese and Korean Study Tour.
Associate of Arts from South Seattle Community College, this included one year of Japanese study at Ube Frontier College in Ube, Japan.
