This cherry tree can’t wait for spring. The delicate pink blooms are a bit battered by raindrops. I hope the next blast of winter isn’t too hard on the tree.

As the year winds down, our area is often rather gloomy. Some people call it “the big dark”, which sounds more dramatic than it is. I think of it as “winter light”.
