Welcome to the drey!
A drey is a squirrel’s nest, reputed to be a bit chaotic and disorganized. This website of images from here and there, travel advice, and notes on how to do things seems a little ADD. Hopefully it will be fun, and maybe useful, for you to take a look around.

Picture that!
Images from here and there. My goal in photography is to capture the essence of being there in the places I visit, both the memorable and the mundane.
Worldly wisdom
Like the song says I haven’t quite been around the world, but I’ve been around a lot. Enough to feel able to proffer some of my lessons learned going places and traveling through life.
Nuts & Bolts & Tools
Since I don’t have a ton of money I use open source(free) and low cost options. Here are some how-to’s and reviews of various programs I use in photo processing and website development.
About the Squirrel Chase
This site started as a class project. In the morning I was walking the dogs and Ginger spotted a squirrel and tried to climb up a tree. That afternoon I had to pick a domain name to do the assignment and couldn’t think of anything. So “the Squirrel Chase” it is.

Squirrel Chasers
They take the threat from squirrels seriously, protecting our property 24/7 and can only be distracted by treats…and ear rubs. They also regard mail carriers as suspicious home invaders.
